Waterford Regional Hospital

Cast Perspex, Stone, Water, Bearings, Spirit level Bubbles, Mirror, Gold, Bronze

1996

A work in five parts around the foyer of the Hospital, the first of which is a very large working prism, which , depending on time of day and cloud cover will shine coloured spectral light into the entrance way. In the main area a split Granite boulder contains many rotatable spirit level bubbles. This is a very successful interactive piece and is countered by a motionless hanging gold plumbob recessed into the opposite half of the stone.
