The breadth and extent of de Fouw’s work comes to light when gathered collectively for exhibition or assembled as an installation. In contrast to his public art work, we get closer to what inspires and preoccupies the artist. Visitors to these exhibitions are drawn in to explore a curious repurposing of objects and materials which suggest new, often subverted associations and tensions between myth, magic, communications, technology and science.
