Remco de Fouw

Based in the south east of Ireland, Remco de Fouw works across a broad range of disciplines. He is primarily known for his large scale public art commissions. These incorporate a range of materials, stone, glass, resins and various metals, fabricated into complex structures. Photography, in the form of photograms play a major role in his oeuvre. Using a unique technique devised by the artist himself, these express a deep exploration of the physics and kinetics of elements such as water, while others look to the sky and the mysteries of the Universe.  His work is received with critical acclaim. A number of publications give us an insight into the artists thought processes and the challenges he faces in the making of his work.
